Adios Sacramento, Hola San Diego.......

Image
I love to dance to music Helping Mommy pack clothes This will be the last post before we move. We are working like crazy here trying to finish up our jobs, pack, coordinate our new place in San Diego, clean, deal with the horrendous and reoccurring ant invasion, etc. However, the computer is getting packed up tonight (we need a laptop). Still helping Mommy pack In bittersweet news, we did adopt out our sweet dog Casha. She LOVES her new home and she gets plenty of human attention (she much prefers human attention to other doggie attention). I also have a few of Rosaleen helping us pack. If we have a box or suitcase or drawer out, she loves to crawl in and out of it. She also really LOVES to take stuff out of boxes or bags. Very helpful. Finally, Rosaleen’s top tooth finally cut through. It is not quite in yet, but she almost has tooth number three. Let the big girl food begin! Merry Christmas everyone. We wish you a safe and ble...

New pictures

Here are a few pictures that our friend took while we were at a dinner party this weekend. We thought they were fun. Rosaleen did a lot of walking this weekend, but now that the weekend is over she is back to crawling. Also, you can see where her top teeth are in her gums, but they still haven’t come in. They don’t look they are that close to the surface. Thank goodness they don’t seem to be hurting her because they are really taking their time to come in.   see my teeth my and my friend Keira Grace (like me) time for bed momma We are getting organized for our move. I start at my new job January 10th and Ben starts the 14th (pushed back from the 7th). We have telephone interviewed a few places for daycare and we are trying to find a good home for our dog (apartment life will not be easier on her, or us!). Our landlord was able to rent our house, so we are off the hook for our lease (whew). I guess we are checking things off the list left and right. ...

almost 10 months

Hello! Sorry it has been so long since we blogged……….. but our internet service has been turning off at about 5 or 6 every night for about three weeks. After many hours on the phone and two technicians coming to the house……….. it is finally working during hours I am actually home! Anyway, the big news, Ben and I, and Rosaleen and I are moving to San Diego at the end of this month! Whoa! The next big news, Rosaleen is taking little steps! The most she has taken at one time is five, but she is pretty excited about it (so are we). She is also jabbering and LOVES to be part of the conversation. Anyway, the next few weeks are going to be crazy for us. We are loading up and moving, Ben and I will both be starting new jobs, Rosaleen will be starting new daycare--fulltime for the first time (eeeeek). I will try to keep you posted.

9-months and counting

Daddy made me a funny hat Well we have a lot of pictures to post, but they are all in the house. It looks like we never go anywhere. Kimberly came to visit! Rosaleen is getting pretty good at standing on her own and she is trying to cut her top two teeth. Last week (Tuesday and Wednesday) she was exposed to hand-foot and mouth disease at daycare (virus, fairly common for daycares). So far though she has not shown any symptoms of it—praise God for that, especially since she “shared” a pacifier with a baby that does have it (Rosaleen is notorious for taking pacifiers at daycare). See my teeth BaNanny? On Sunday I thought she had an ear infection so we took her to urgent care. She does not have an infection, but there is still fluid in her ears. Ugh. We did get to weight her and she was more than 21.5 pounds! Too much milk I have a few videos to up-load. She and daddy made a drum, so there are a few videos of that and BaNanny...

Happy Halloween

Image
Whew, we are exhausted. This week has involved lots of costumes and Halloween outfits. We had a little party this afternoon so everyone could show off their costumes. Rosa has been standing a lot and balancing a little. She loves to eat, but she still is working on getting her pincher grasp working, and getting any food that she might pinch into her mouth. SuperWoman Big Pumpkin little pumpkin My Friend Mask made by Brooke Keira and hre Mommy Halloween party!!! Going trick-or-treatin! Here are some pictures from the week. I like to point at things

Quick post

Trick-or-Treat I have a few pictures I couldn’t wait to post, even thought I am suppose to be doing other things right now;). We have been moving along here. Rosaleen finally got rid of her ear infections, however she still has fluid in her ears. I am going to move her hearing test to November, because we are waiting for her ears to be totally clear before we try the test again. Roseleen is really enjoying pulling herself up and she is such a daredevil. She has no problem letting go of whatever she is holding onto if something catches her attention. In light of that, last week I got a “courtesy call” from day care just to let me know that everything was fine, but Rosa did get a big bruise on her forehead when she fell. UGGGGGG. She was fine, but as you will see in the pictures, it was a big bruise.    Cousin Ethan building Cousins Gavin and Ethan (and Darby too) Pincher practice Rosaleen really likes to eat things that are more textured than bab...

8 Months!

Image
Biscuit face Well Rosaleen will be eight months old tomorrow! In the last couple weeks she has done a lot of big girl things to go along with the big girl title of eight months. She has started pulling her self up all the time. She had been trying to pull herself up for a couple weeks, but she always needed help, and then last Monday, she started popping herself up. Now that is her preferred position—standing. She is very proud of herself and can pull herself up by just one hand. Also, she finally had a couple teeth break through the gums. She has been teething since her 6-month check up, so these little guys have been hanging around for a while, but the two bottom, front teeth finally broke through. Also, I will say that Rosaleen is proficiently crawling, although it is not quite the traditional crawl. She does a crawl/worm. She is fast, so I doubt that she will adjust her locomotion style into a traditional crawl. And finally I should mention that Rosa started eating t...
