Trick-or-Treat
I have a few pictures I couldn’t wait to post, even thought I am suppose to be doing other things right now;). We have been moving along here. Rosaleen finally got rid of her ear infections, however she still has fluid in her ears. I am going to move her hearing test to November, because we are waiting for her ears to be totally clear before we try the test again.


Roseleen is really enjoying pulling herself up and she is such a daredevil. She has no problem letting go of whatever she is holding onto if something catches her attention. In light of that, last week I got a “courtesy call” from day care just to let me know that everything was fine, but Rosa did get a big bruise on her forehead when she fell. UGGGGGG. She was fine, but as you will see in the pictures, it was a big bruise.

Pincher practice

Rosaleen really likes to eat things that are more textured than baby food (I don’t blame her), ands she is really good at chewing ( she has about ¼ of two teeth). However, she has not gotten the pincher movement mastered yet. She has still never put anything small (like a little bite of food) into her own mouth. We have been practicing the pincher movement by offering her lots of little pieces of toast or avocado or banana, but we are still working on it. After a while she gets tired or frustrated, so I thought it might help her if we practiced with something more fun….. yogurt and applesauce. She had fun practicing, but nothing got in her mouth.

    OMG What a bruise! Poor baby..and the pincher movement with applesauce and yogart..Rosa must have had fun with that one! What an adorable "Little Skunkie Girl" out fit and she looks like she is really happy to be wearing it!! Plus she has Janet's Halloween out fit..cute, cute AND another Halloween outfit on in the high chair picture...the "I have food all over me" picture..Rosaleen's cousins are look'n good..miss everyone and give our baby a big hug from Grandma & Grandpa.

Hi all, it's Ben.  I told Sunny I would never blog…so... Here are a few pictures of MY DAUGHTER! She is so perfect! I cannot believe she is here and I can hold her. Sunny is the best mommy ever and we are having so much fun and love with little Rosaleen. Now I know what it feels like. Parents always say they cannot describe how it feels. 12 week ultrasound picture

Attached is the 12 week ultrasound picture that I mentioned in the previous post. You can see above the head is a hand and if you zoom in you can even see fingers. To the other side, up above the baby you see a little thing. That is a foot. In the ultrasound the baby was kicking her legs and moving-- put when the picture was taken, the leg was out of sight, so you just see the foot up top. But I promise- that is a little footsie. SO CUTE! In other news, my very sweet mother sent me a set of new maternity clothes today—AND I really need them. I had to wear a suit to work today for a meeting- and it was terrible. I had rubber bands and safety pins holding up my pants but it still wasn’t working. By the time the end of the day came I was so stressed and uncomfortable I couldn’t take it. What a perfectly timed surprise to find new clothes on my door step. Thanks Mom.

Lazy Summer (not)

Sitting up in the back yard!  It has been a busy week here. Rosa has not been sleeping great.  Last night she fell asleep next to daddy with a hand full of his hair.  The car has been in the shop all week. They still can't seem to fix it right.  Rosaleen is almost a pro at rolling all over the place. Once you put her down, she doesn’t stay put for long. Also, her attention span is starting to get a little longer, so she can occupy herself for longer periods of time—maybe 20 minutes or so on a good day.  If she drops something she will look down looking for it and can follow things around now.  Her favorite things to watch are Fred (the cat) and Casha (the dog).  She squeels in delight when she sees Casha. We are still giving Rosa rice cereal.  Yesterday Ben gave her sweet peas. She loved them.  There is a video of her eating at the bottom. MMMMMMMMM!  Ben and Rosa are still staying home ...
