Baby, baby, on the way

October, 2012 Ultrasound Well the wonderful news has finally made it to the blog…….we are having a baby!!!! Wow, Rosaleen Grace McLernon will be a big sister.   We are all very happy and excited.   The new baby is due May 27, 2013, which makes me only a few days away from 18 weeks pregnant- well into the second trimester. I tried to flip this, but am having issues     This pregnancy has been very different from my pregnancy with Rosaleen.   With Rosa I felt really good most of the time.   I felt REALLY, REALLY good.   I remember thinking to myself, “I feel great” and bouncing out of bed.   Of course I could nap a lot more then (and I did), I exercised a lot more then, and I was younger. I really had no nausea through that pregnancy, and really my only complaint with Rosa was the incredible heartburn the last month (and it was horrible). However, this is a new pregnancy, and it is different.   One reason I am so beh...

Thanksgiving trip, 2012

Image
For our Thanksgiving holiday, the McLernon’s thought they would take a big, fun family trip. It’s a nice thought, isn’t it?   We were set to fly to Sacramento on the Friday before Thanksgiving, spend four days there with friends, and then ride the Amtrak to Eugene, where Grandma Janet and Grandpa Bob would pick us up the day before Thanksgiving.   After Thanksgiving we planned to ride the train ALL THE WAY home, for some good, fun family time.   The biggest drawback would be that our train home would arrive in San Diego at midnight, and we wouldn’t have our car.   Lucky for family, Uncle Doug volunteered (really) to pick us up at the Old Town train station at midnight Sunday night . Rosa and Addie--Brooke is a blurr These girls LOVE to dress up BFFs-- need a better photographer A week before the trip got started, Veteran’s day, Ben and I started to feel a little under the weather. By the next day (Tuesday) I was very sick, with a t...

WoW—well I didn’t quite get that Halloween post up like I thought. However, it was a success! Rosaleen and Camdyn were princesses and Carter was Captain America!!! We went to Uncle Forrest and Aunt Jen’s house for the big event. It paid off, the kids’ candy bags were filled.   Don’t worry, Ben confiscated at least 80 percent of Rosaleen’s candy. I was able to get a few really good pictures of Carter and Rosaleen together, and awww, they were just too cute.   However, little Camdyn was running so fast, every picture I have of her is literally a blurr.   Luckily her mommy got a few good ones, so took them off her facebook page and will now post them as my own.   I see track and field in Camdyn’s future.   She just can’t stop running!   can you tell they are having fun? Cinderella, are you ready for the ball? So cute     There is Camdyn!! And she is with a super hero. Next post…..Thanksgiving trip!

Pumpkin Patch Fun!!!

Image
Last weekend Rosaleen and I, along with her friend Connor and his mommy, went to a fun pumpkin patch to celebrate the season! The place we went is a nut farm, but they open as a pumpkin patch in October. We really had the greatest time. The weather was a little chilly, and it had rained a lot the night before, so it really did seem like fall was in the air. The kids did so well even though we were there all day. They fell asleep on the way home and the mommy’s got to chat away. When we got home the kids were still zonked out, so we sat in the van in the garage and chit chatted away until Connor woke up:). We packed our lunches and brought our raincoats, and enjoyed the pumpkins, ponies, goats and hayrides. Daddy could not come, as he was visiting his daddy, and we sure did miss him. Enjoy the pictures. petting the baby bunny with Connor thinking about it still thinking about it Blast OFF oh fun!~ finding the perfect pumpki...

After my last post I realized I forgot a very important update. In July Aunt Chris and Aunt Kathy came out from Dallas, Texas to visit. They stayed at cousin Brian’s house in Carlsbad, and Brian was nice enough to host us a couple time. It was a great visit and Rosaleen got to play a lot, but I got to chit chat with my Aunts too. It was a really fun visit. We have a few pictures to post, and I have to say, those Texas ladies are looking good. Tickle tickle   Aunt Kathy and Cousin Brian Girls just wanna have fun September has been a hot month. We are glad October is here and we hope that it brings some cooler weather. Because of the heat we have made several trips to the beach in the last couple weeks (pictures included). Going to the park trying to beat the heat Too hot for clothes Ben has been working on the house when he can. The laundry area is functional and has been plumbed, wired and dry-walled, but it still needs to ...
