This weekend Rosaleen, Mommy and Daddy met Cousin Ericka, Matt and little Cousin Lucas at the zoo. We had a fun time and Rosaleen got to see lots of animals, which she loves. Little Lucas was a super cutie and he didn’t make a fuss once the entire time!!!! The mammas and the babies When we got home Grandpa Pat was at our apartment to visit. Grandpa brought his four legged-furry friend Millie along too. Rosaleen had a super great time showing off for Grandpa and covering Millie up with blankets. Rosaleen even said the entire alphabet by herself for the very first time. She has been almost doing it for a couple weeks, but in order to impress Grandpa she said the whole thing. Lucas and Rosaleen smiling at each other Today we took Rosaleen to get her foot measured. It measured an 8, but because it is narrow and 8 is actually too big. We got her a 7.5 and a 7. Rosaleen was getting new shoes for her big trip coming up. This Wednesday we are all leaving for Texas...

We had a most wonderful halloween. Check out Rosa and her adorable cousins. Grandma and Grandpa come to visit tomarrow.  They'll be here until Tuesday. AND big news here: tonight when I took off Rosaleen's diaper for her bath, she went to her potty, sat for a minute and then got up.  She didn't say anything, so I looked in the little potty...............and there was pee pee in it!  Wow Rosaleen!  Using the potty for the very first time, and on her own.  I was super impressed.  As a matter of fact, if you are reading this blog, you might have already gotten a text message about this very topic. Daddy, I am big....I don't need to hold yor hand. Looks like fun out there. Wow, what can I say. I feel very guilty for not blogging for SOOOOO long. I couldn’t possibly catch up on everything, so I will just say that Rosaleen is doing so great. She is so amazing and she really amazes me with her knowledge everyday. Today we were looking at a picture of she and I at the beach that was taken back in January or February. She pointed to the picture and said beach. I was expecting her to say “mommy” or maybe “Rosa” but I guess that was too easy. Yesterday Rosaleen and her parents took cousins Carter and Camdyn to a Fall Festival near the house we are buying. It was put on a by a church we have gone to a few times. The festival was great and we had so much fun with the kids. All three kids got to jump in the little kids jump house for about 20 minutes before any other kids joined. By that time Rosaleen and Camdyn looked like they were completely out of ga...

 We went to the Wild Animal Park recently and watched a cheetah run about 100 yards and get up to maybe 50-60 miles an hour.  She is beautiful, see picture.   Big bowl of meat after that run. Rosaleen was like..whatever, oh look..."Water!" Again, see pics.  We just sit there and let her run until she is waterlogged.   Get that tongue back in there!  Not what it looks like, come on people.  The water is coming from the alligator's mouth     So Cute!  Nice dress too.  Cousin Carters 3rd Birthday was a blast, Rosaleen loves cupcakes! Her and cousin Cammy had on the same dress...oh my!  So cute!  Nice dress too.  Hey wait a minute I have seen that dress before!    MMMMMMMMMMMM!  Cupcakes!  Big bite Cousin Carter.  Rosaleen is growing more...

Last weekend for the 4th of July, Rosaleen met some of her cousins at Mission Bay for the festivities. It was truly a great time. The kids ran and played, and played in the Bay. Rosaleen again was full speed ahead into the water. We didn’t last until fireworks of course, but we had a full day, and lots of fun and food.  Chillin with Cousin Carter  Lately Rosaleen’s vocabulary has significantly diminished to only three words…mommy, puppy and the ultra popular…MINE. All the time, MINE. Sometimes it doesn’t even make sense; she just uses it to express discontent. If the object of MINE cannot be hers (like mommy’s coffee, or granola bars) mine takes on a whole new octave and is sometimes coupled with flinging herself to the ground.  Happy 4th of July Daddy was away at his daddy’s for the weekend, and whole mommy and Rosaleen were home alone, we went shopping. Rosaleen has been having trouble keeping her shoes on, so we went to Stride Rite and got her foot measured...

 Thanks, Daddy I will TAKE that.  So we went to the beach the other weekend.  My mom and stepdad were in town so we all decided to go Mission Beach.  On the way we started talking breakfast and got on breakfast burritos.  I LOVE breakfast burritos.  We decided to get a few and sit on the beach and eat them.  I got the works...eggs, cheese, bacon, ham, potatoes, super good salsa (my mouth is watering now) and the rest of the group got a few as well.  We get to the beach and I spilt mine with Sunny....my mom get about half of hers done and asks if I wanted the rest, she was full.  SURE, remember I LOVE these!  But, being the way cool daddy that I am....I offer my 16 month old daughter a bite...and I decide to let her hold it... That is when the fight started.  "Can daddy have that?"  No answer, no movement, no look....just a burrito where her cute face was.  "Rosaleen give daddy a bite."  As I lean in to tak...
